Since the Pandemic began I wanted to try a new hobby to beat the boredom and get outdoors. I heard about the cycling group recently set up so I decided to give it a go.

I spend my working days teaching history and geography and maybe that’s why I’ve always had a love of cycling. With a bicycle you can explore the world in ways you cannot do with a car. It opens you up to the world around you – (if you don’t believe me, try and experience our great riverside greenway to Oldbridge on a car – you won’t get to see much). It also allows us to experience the urban geography of Ireland’s biggest town without worrying about parking fees or traffic congestion.
