Drogheda Cycling welcomes “Active Travel” allocations as a positive first step.

The newly established Drogheda Cycling group has welcomed the allocation of funding for several active travel projects in Drogheda town and hinterland. 

Chairperson Noel Hogan said

“We warmly welcome this initiative which will help to make a positive difference to the lives of people in Drogheda. Credit is due to all those who have worked hard to ensure that Drogheda secured funding for these 8 projects. We are looking forward to seeing the details of each and we hope we will be given the opportunity to make further submissions on these developments. Access for all is one of our key aims and we hope this is just the first of many such developments to make Drogheda a safer and more pleasant place to cycle and walk in”.
